This work presents the regulatory framework governing the academic responsibilities of faculty members at the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), a private, non-profit institution committed to contributing to the social, educational, and scientific development of the Dominican Republic. The document outlines the institutional principles that guide academic work, highlighting the university’s commitment to higher education, research, scientific dissemination, and the comprehensive training of professionals capable of contributing to societal progress.
Additionally, the work defines the functions, rights, duties, and responsibilities of faculty members, as well as the requirements for appointment, performance evaluation processes, and the foundations of the academic career path. In accordance with the Higher Education, Science and Technology Law (Law No. 139-01) and the Dominican Labor Code, the regulation guides faculty participation in teaching, research, extension, and academic management activities within the institution.
