Triggering Glances: Building Knowledge for Equality Vol. 7

This work compiles the papers presented at the 12th Dominican Conference on Gender Studies, held in 2023 by the Santo Domingo Institute of Technology (INTEC), and published as Volume 7 of Miradas Desencadenantes. The book brings together thirteen articles that examine various issues from a gender perspective, including sexual and reproductive rights, gender-based violence, public policies, Dominican feminism, gender perspectives in education, and forced displacement related to climate change.

Through research studies, essays, and critical reflections, the authors explore the progress, tensions, and challenges surrounding gender equality in the Dominican Republic and within Global South contexts. The volume aims to amplify women’s voices, foster academic dialogue, and contribute to the development of more just, inclusive, and equitable societies through interdisciplinary analysis and the strengthening of feminist thought and equality policies.
